George H Mitchell Elementary School

The New George H. Mitchell Elementary School will replace the previous George H. Mitchell Elementary School at 500 South Street, Bridgewater, MA. A demolition package has already removed the existing school down to the slab on grade.

The new school will be a three-story, L-shaped 132,045 square foot steel frame and concrete on metal deck structure with masonry, glass, and aluminum skin. The building will feature simple and efficient floor plan layout that take advantage of almost all interior space for learning and support service for 740 K-2 students and up to 240 Pre-K students. Translucent skylights will also provide daylight to internal learning areas.
